Differences Between Xenon Lights And Xenon Gas-Filled Bulbs

Xenon lights are a lighting technology that replaces the filament of the light bulb with what is called Xenon gas, which is where the light gets its name. The gas is then ignited to produce light when the correct amount of high voltage is applied. The light output is three times brighter than the average halogen bulb and also runs at a higher temperature, causing its distinct appearance and color. Xenon gas-filled bulbs consume the same power and have a blue color when lit. The gas filled bulbs also have an increase in life but produce little or no more than the standard halogen bulb. When comparing the Xenon lights with Xenon gas-filled bulbs the Xenon gas filled bulbs show no where near the same life span as the Xenon lights. The typical life span for the gas-filled bulbs tend to be 6 months, meanwhile the lifespan of the Xenon lights tend to be a lot longer. Xenon lights have little if no impact on the environment as a matter of fact Xenon is so safe it has been used in surgery as an anesthetic. Xenon vented into the atmosphere is being returned to its original source, environmental impact is unlikely.
